  10. I have been following your collection almost from the start. I'm on the East coast, so it has been a midmorning break. Our daughter lives in the Bay area, knows and loves your work. Seeing some of "my stuff" listed as vintage has been a bit wrenching, but worth it. Your design eye is amazing! Thank you.

  36. Dear Lisa Congdon - There seems to be evident here a theory that you've proven true (and in a timely fashion as this issue becomes pointed at this time of year) - that as humans our delight in material things is more in the hum of the things themselves than in having them only for ourselves - the strings stretched between each one of us, threads of connection, as we find our aesthetics addressed so communally by a strangers eye and choice, and the feeling that enjoying these objects is due to those connections negates any selfishness that comes with accruing stuff. You have used your stuffs as a language, an Esperanto of that "je ne sais quoi" (sp?) that fills hearts by way of the most disposable of our culture's accoutrement. What is dear and precious and lovely and strange, useful or utterly useless, that which is found in the cigar box of Boo Radley or the junk drawer in the kitchen or left between the pages of old books or squirreled away embarrassingly in a safe deposit box only explainable by the squirrel - these are the icons and samenesses you have exhibited. These things that make what you have made an original and thoughtful project of art and heart are the manifestations of commonalities of faith in the decided and ever present loveliness of the human condition as played by its trimmings and trappings. Your collections make the Grinches heart grow exponentially. (By the way I think your drawings and paintings do the same thing!) Best of luck and life to you and thank you. Sincerely Stacy Lynn.

    flameando de las obsesiónes
    igual efimero como gotas
    del cinzano de la soledad –

    En aquel tiempo me levanta
    dentro uno incidente avejentado
    que en seguida palidece
    al camouflaje de abstraccion;

    chica, nadie conoce que tus grisos
    ojos significan aún; con todo
    el sueño que hube evacuado
    tu escudriñas nuevamente.
